The CHESNO Movement is a non-governmental organization with expertise in the fields of parliamentarism, local government, political finance and elections.
CHESNO works to help the Ukrainian society shift from electoral to representative democracy. To do this, we provide citizens with objective, unbiased and accurate information about politicians and parties, organize civil education projects, popularize open data, conduct advocacy campaigns and events.
CHESNO’s work is based on the principles of respect for human and citizen rights, a data-driven approach to governance decisions, and the need to develop and strengthen government institutions in Ukraine.
At the moment, CHESNO operates in Kyiv and at least seven regions of Ukraine and is an independent non-governmental organization.
